QUESTION

Worked under the table now I am getting an 1099

More details to this question:
I worked for a lady during university and I got paid under the table for helping her design a patent. Now she is stealing all my work and threatening to issue me a 1099 because I refuse to do more work for her.

You are indeed in a difficult situation in which you will have to choose between having a record of your work and continuing to work for someone that you consider less than honorable in taking credit for your work.
