I accepted a job offer in Kuwait. After receiving my Police Clearance Certificate it reflected a crime I was convicted of in 1997, namely possession of cannabis. I received a sentence of $600 or 60 days in jail suspended for 5 years. I did not re-offend and thus the sentence should have been cleared of my record.
Hello,
Since your question is about working in Kuwait, it would be a good idea to contact the Kuwait consulate for the contact information of attorneys who specialize in Kuwait immigration law. The attorneys would be able to advise you as to whether can still obtain a work visa or if you need to file a waiver.
