QUESTION

Is this company purposefully causing my claim to be delayed?

Asked on Jan 07th, 2015 on Insurance - Florida
More details to this question:
I have an active insurance claim with a car rental company out-of-state. After nearly three months, the claim has made no progress because the car rental company won't provide the insurance company with any information. Additionally, the car rental company sent me a letter stating that they would send the balance to a collection agency since I made no effort to satisfy my claim (which simply isn't true) if I did not reply within 10 business days (which I did immediately upon receiving the letter). However, I received notification from a collections agency dated just a few days after the previous letter that they received a claim. I'm at a complete deadlock and am unsure of how to proceed. I thought I was doing the right thing by simply filing the claim with my insurance company and providing them with the necessary information - but nothing is getting resolved. What am I supposed to do here?

No idea because the question is way to vague. I would start with contacting your insurance company and find out status of the claim. It sounds like there was a coverage or claim denial.
