QUESTION

Lawsuit for medical services

Asked on Jan 27th, 2017 on Insurance - Florida
More details to this question:
My mom was sued by a local hospital for charges from April 2013. For some reason, they had sent the summons to Palm Beach, the home address of the rehab facility she was at upon hospital discharge. My mom has Medicare & Medicaid. I sent them the written response within 20 days stating this. I got an email on 12/20/2016 at 12:16pm from the law firm's manager asking me if my mom would like to work out a payment plan. I need legal assistance to solve this problem.

Your mother - not you - needs to address this and likely needs to hire a lawyer. If she has no money to do so SHE - not YOU should contact local legal aid to see if they can help. By filing a response in court you may already have done irreparable damage to her situation.
