QUESTION

Question about health insurance

Asked on Oct 03rd, 2017 on Insurance - Florida
More details to this question:
My daughter was a passenger in a car accident, she sustained a severe radial and ulnar fracture with intraarticular extension. They did emergency reduction that night & referred her to see an orthopedic. Since then we have been getting the run around by her health ins. They said she had to see her PCP for the referral so we did that. We are still waiting for them to authorize it so she has still not been to the orthopedic. Meanwhile she has had to return to the E.R. four times each time getting the same referral. At this point her wrist is mending itself improperly which is going to cause permanent damage. She is not able to care for herself or her children on her own. Is there anything that we can do to get her the medical care she needs?

This is why she needs to hire an injury lawyer ASAP. We see this often and on of the most important issues is often to bypass the health insurance red tape if at all possible.
