Asked on Feb 21st, 2014 on Intellectual Property - New York
More details to this question:
I wrote a children's Christmas and used the word Rudolph once. I did not know that that word was licensed and they now want payment. He first told me if I removed the word Rudolph he would leave me alone but now he wants to know what my sales were. What should I do? I do not have the money to pay him for past sales.

Don't be ridiculous. Ignore the threat. The word Rudolph is not protected.
