QUESTION

Selling with brands

Asked on Sep 30th, 2019 on Intellectual Property - Alaska
More details to this question:
Hello, Myself and my sister at looking at creating items to sell online. There will be a range of different items, for example chocolate trees, glittered alcohol bottles etc. My question is regarding branding. So for example if we used a Disney character on one of the trees, or decided to use a picture/quote from the TV show Friends, is this allowed? It would only be a hobby? Thanks Lauren

Lauren, you would not legally be allowed to use any third party brand on your own goods that you sell online.  It would be considered an infringement of the others' brands.  If you would like to discuss further, just let me know. Best, Lisa
