QUESTION

Using the Disney Name on a website?

Asked on Feb 13th, 2014 on Intellectual Property - Florida
More details to this question:
I am making a website for a client, he is concerned about stating that he learned his skills and got started in the food industry while working at Disney. It is a website for his personal chef business. We would simply be stating that he had worked at Disney World in a paragraph about him.

Update Your Profile
There is nothing wrong with providing a personal biography that includes the names of former employers, even if the names of the former employers are trademarked. There is a problem if you try to use the names of the former employers to imply a quality of the food service. The former might look like this, "Mike was a Disney chef from 2008-2013 at a Walt Disney World Resort." The latter might look like, "Here is your chance to hire your own personal Disney chef."  Good luck, Todd
