I was just call into a job for and interview/work. I'm a sushi chef. I was call to come in with to interview and work without pay from open till closed. Once my work day is over with they interview my to see if I'm hire. I just want to know is this legal me coming in not getting paid but working from open till closed without pay. Any advice would be helpful Thx you

This sounds like a working interview. If you are working, you must be paid and you must fill out the same paperwork you would if they hire you. The only way they can avoid paying you is if you just observe without doing any work. If you work without pay, it is a violation of state and federal law. If a person works, a person must be paid.
