QUESTION

Back-pay

Asked on Apr 06th, 2016 on Employment Contracts - Maryland
More details to this question:
I am a babysitter who is paid under the table. My employers have owed me over $2,500.00 and promised to pay me back, at least partially, when their tax returns came in. I have since found out they spent that money on a family car being repossessed. I have kept records of what days I work, how many hours, and when they pay me each week. Is there any legal recourse for this situation?

You can sue them for breach of contract, unless you are afraid to risk the IRS finding out about this income.
