Being suspended, especially when you feel that you're being treated unfairly, really stinks -- I'm sorry you're experiencing this.  The employer is generally required to follow its own work policies that are published to employees but it they do not, there little consequence to that except if you were terminated and the employer contested your application for unemployment benefits.  Hopefully things don't go that far for you.
