QUESTION

Can employers be held responsible for actions by administrators?

Asked on Apr 16th, 2013 on Labor and Employment - Nevada
More details to this question:
After being bullied at work for 8 years by another employee, I put a stop to it by putting in a transfer to a different school. My principal decided to punish me by instructing me to do physical labor that had nothing to do with my position. While completing the task I fell backwards off the back of an SUV's bumper. I crushed my spinal cord in two places. I have had 2 operations, 4 injections into my discs, and have one more operation to go. I am coverd by Worker's Comp. and I already have a lawyer. I am trying to find out if I have any legal rights against the school district for the events of being bullied and treatment by my administrator that lead to accident? Please help!!!!

There are few legal protections for workplace bullying.  However as presumably a School District employee, you may have collective bargaining rights within your contract.  The most common place that bullying remedies is addressed is through the Workers Compensation in which you are already making a claim.
