QUESTION

Can I avoid a false arrest at my work place and what should I do if this happens?

Asked on Jun 22nd, 2015 on Labor and Employment - California
More details to this question:
I feel that I have one or more previous employers who are stating that I harassed people while I was in their employ. I cannot verify this as the reference checking services that I have used haven't worked. In my present and recent working environments, I might hear supervisors in the background asking my feminine co-workers if I was harassing them or that if I were to begin using any profanity, they should be informed, so that the police could be called and have me arrested. I don't know what my past employers are saying about me. I have never been written up, reprimanded or accused of harassment at any job. The reason I pose the question if I can avoid a false arrest is that if I am arrested, fingerprinted and photographed, I would have a record, making it difficult to find work.

This sounds paranoid. This situation does not reasonably lend itself to arrest. Arrests generally do not affect employability.
