I got hurt on the job twice. One for lifting a 400 pound cart off a box truck that left a 4 inch laceration on my forehead and also lifting a ice machine head that left a 2 inch laceration on my thumb with no feeling in my thumb now. The owner told his technicians that he was getting rid of me because I was getting hurt too much. Also I didn't get any lifting training or osha training. The job site where I was at with my thumb happened at 8 in the morning and I didn't get any medical attention til 12 pm that day. One of the bosses didn't stop and tell me to put on gloves before lifting the piece of equiptment. Also told me to finish the job before I could get medical attention. I had to get 7 stitches in my thumb and 7 stitches in my forehead. Both incidents were on separate days. Workers comp was paid for.
