QUESTION

Can I sue for punitive damages?

Asked on Oct 25th, 2015 on Labor and Employment - North Carolina
More details to this question:
I worked for a trucking company who encouraged its employees to indulge in illegal activities (falsifying driver logs). This prevented me from getting more favorable employment that would have allowed me to be at home more. My PSP showed violations on it as a result of these false logs and I was disqualified from consideration with this company.

Unfortunately no. Even if you were encouraged, you were aware it was not lawful to do so and participated. You can't sue for damages, when you knowingly were involved.
