can my employer deny me an ada request

More details to this question:
i have hypothyroid & hypotension which makes it hard for my body to stay warm. My doctor sent in Medical forms requesting me to have a small space heater at my desk to keep warm my employer denied it saying it violated PEOSHA guidelines. Can they do this?

i would bring my own space heater to keep warm. the employer cannot deny you the use of this heater unless there is a safety issue. ed dimon, esq.
