My husband left work early one day because his father went to the hospital with a possible heart attack which turned out to be a blood clot in the lungs. He got permission from a supervisor to leave. He knew he had missed one full day of work and was worried about the consiquiences and was told it would be okiay and they would make an exception for him this one time. The next day he got up to get ready for work and found a voice mail from the brand new secretary telling him he had been terminated. Because the company did not follow their own policies he was awarded unemployment but that doesn't cover the fact that he got fired 2 days after we moved, i'm pregnant and the van is dieing. We are a month behind on all bills because of this. It was a small company that he worked for as well.
