QUESTION

Can they fire me for posting on Facebook?

Asked on Jul 24th, 2020 on Wrongful Termination - Indiana
More details to this question:
I made a comment to a posting of a statue that was vandalized by history haters. My comment was, “They should be horse whipped.” A white woman with 5 bi racial kids was offended. They said that slaves were horse whipped and that was a racial Statement. Should I be fired for that? I didn’t make it racial. I didn’t make it black or white. I don’t know the color of the person who vandalized the statue. Posting never said. So can they fire me over that?
