More details to this question:
I was forced out of practice at a hospital system 7 years ago and never able to find another similar position in neurosurgery/spine. I was required to sign an NDA which said neither I nor the hospital would discuss this. I was not allowed on any hospital property or contact with any employee. I was recently notified that my name appears on the front page of a national industry publication as joining the practice I was forced out of. In addition, the hospital has also published my bio and announced that I am joining their staff. The situation, at the time, nearly broke me and for the past 7 years I have worked to get past this but now, again, I am terrified of the consequences of the irresponsible actions that the hospital has taken and am sick that this hospital keeps coming into my life--now in such a a public way. These two pieces (and maybe more) are published, national and completely false, potentially very damaging to my life and my new career (completing JD)

I am not sure you have any rights.
The Statute of Limitations has long since passed.
Best of luck to you.
