QUESTION

Do I have a sexual discrimination case?

Asked on Oct 17th, 2011 on Labor and Employment - Ohio
More details to this question:
I was accused of sexual harassment by a female co-employee. I was supposed to have given the statement “Are you attracted to me because I am attracted to you?” Even before I was investigated on the matter, the store management already made a decision to terminate my Employment even if I made good as a shift manager. The favored not having angry female team members than hearing my side of the story. I have not been given due process and I believe this is sexual discrimination. Am I right on this?

An employer has an obligation to make a good faith investigation before terminating a person for sexual harassment. If that was not done in your case, you may have a claim.
