QUESTION

Do I have a wrongful termination case?

Asked on Dec 28th, 2017 on Wrongful Termination - Tennessee
More details to this question:
In 2015 I was terminated and the reason given was that I was seen on camera closing the cell door behind me when entering a youths cell (juvenile detention center). This is not the truth and I tried to get an explanation or at least a meeting after being phoned and told that I had been suspended and could not return to work until there had been an investigation. The case was not followed up by the authorities nor Dept of Children's services yet I had been terminated. I understand TN to be a state that doesn't have to give an explanation, but can they falsely accuse me?

You can be terminated with or without cause, even if you do not agree with it. So the answer is yes.
