Do I have a wrongful termination case?

More details to this question:
I was hired at a company in a VP role a few months ago and told during the interview this is a new role that is a hybrid of a former SVP and Director role that we have now combined. My offer letter also states I would report to the COO. I never had any issues or complaints and over 4 months did a pretty good job of putting new process in place as I was tasked to do. About 3 weeks ago a new SVP was brought in over me which was surprising based on my initial interview. He did not seem to like me from day 1 and actually yelled at me during a 1:1 convo his 2nd day. I went on vacation for a week and upon return we had a second confrontation during another 1:1 where he again yelled at me. I asked him to lower his voice or I would need to record the convo or get a 3rd party as I was very uncomfortable. Both instances I informed the CEO about my discomfort with the situation. The following business day I was terminated The only reason given was because our personalities do not mesh.

Do you have a contract which limits the grounds on which you can be fired, or provides that you will be employed for a set period of time? If not, you can be fired for any reason not prohibited by statute (i.e. race, gender, religion, etc.)
