QUESTION

Do you consider this retaliation?

Asked on Aug 23rd, 2016 on Labor and Employment - New York
More details to this question:
I went to the Head of our HR department to speak about "Courageous Intregrity" our firm is going through a culture transformation and is currently under DFA. I spoke to my HR about the special treatment of the selected ones an I reminder her that a former employee spoke up was terminated. I received my mid-year review and was given an offtrack grade, meaning your on your way out with no compensation. I raised a case against HR and my manager. How can I get a offtrack rating with zero prior warning? HR confirmed that you are required to have previous conversations with your staff informing them of their situation. They can't be blindsided. This is a clear case of retaliation and I provided facts about the special treatment and lack of trust.

After you are terminated, contact an employment lawyer.  Whether you have a claim will be determined by what is in your record.
