Does a company have to accommodate you?

More details to this question:
I am a type 1 diabetic and had to change jobs within the company due to complications, The company put me on shift work and my dr. is asking for day hours. Company saids they don't have day hrs available. What are my options?

the employer must provide 'reasonable accommodation' if possible. your doctor must explain in writing and give a 'medical reason' why you must work the day shift. do you have this medical opinion ?  after you receive this opinion, speak with the employer to determine if day work is available. the employer is under no legal obligation to create day work for you.
