QUESTION

Employment Agreement termination

Asked on Aug 26th, 2014 on Employment Contracts - North Carolina
More details to this question:
I live in North Carolina and signed an employment agreement. It says: The Employee shall be employed at will. If the Employee terminates the agreement, s/he shall provide the School with at least 60 days advance written notice of his/her intention to do so. What would happen if I quit my job without the 60 days notice? I have been working for only 5 days and want to leave the job. Neither the agreement nor the employee handbook say what would be the consequences. Thanks.

Yes, you can terminate for any reason, but you may be required to provide notice as per the agreement.
