More details to this question:
I received an emotionally abusive and verbally threatening voicemail from a client (on 4/3). On 4/5 I submitted FMLA for PTSD as well as a letter from my PcP outlining how such threatening behavior would exacerbate my condition (on 4/5) I stated I was no longer comfortable in working with client, and reached out daily to leadership to discuss/for support. None was given. No correspondence was had. On 4/10 I was fired “not a good fit” after 2.5 years employment there. The only contact I had with leadership over this month was an email on 3/15 stating what a terrific job I was doing. Do I have a potential case here?

Depending on the particular facts, you may have a cause of action against your ex-employer for, among other claims, firing you in retaliation for you exercising your right to request FMLA leave. Today, you should call an experienced New York City Wrongful Termination Lawyer about your matter.
