QUESTION

false pretenses?

Asked on Jun 28th, 2013 on Labor and Employment - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I had a company come after me to hire me for 4 years- with the same job description. I kept saying no. Finally they approach me with the job they knew I wanted. 2 months later, they changed my description to the job they knew I would have never accepted. I quit a perfectly good job for this and am now miserable. Do I have any legal recourse?

your case would be stronger if you have an employment contract setting forth the terms and conditions of employment. for example, if one were hired to drive a truck and two months later one is loading and unloading the truck when the loading/unloading was not an original job requirement.  the key is written documentation.  do you have either a contract or the written job description ? ed dimon, esq.
