Fired because of Facebook

More details to this question:
I was recently fired for a comment I put on my personal private facebook page. The comment did not mention any employees or the company itself. My profile did not mention the company at all.

It would depend on what the comment was that placed on your Facebook account and how the employer was able to get access to this.  Certain postings that relate to the terms and conditions of your job might be protected.  A negative comment about your boss or the company may not be.  It depends on what you posted.
