More details to this question:
I work for a company and we get 2, 15 min breaks and 30 min for lunch. The breaks are paid for and the lunch is not. We are never dismissed on time for either of them and they require us to be back from lunch 5 minutes early. Is that legal?

Federal law governs this. The company is not require to provide any lunch period -paid or unpaid. Therefore unless you have a union contract that provides otherwise. the company is not violating your rights.
