I got a letter for my doctor that I cannot lift more than 20 pounds. I work with infants & toddlers, 5 months ago, I requested to be switch to preschool room. I am still waiting. 2 days ago I got an appointment again and they asked me if my employer did what they asked her. I said: No. I also explained them that I am having muscle spasms and they said it is because my arthritis. I would like to know what can I do.

Contact an employment attorney. As an employee with a disability, you must be able to perform the essential functions of your job with or without a reasonable accommodation. If it is resonable to transfer you to the preschool room, then that may be an accommodation your employer should make. However, the reasonableness of accommodations depends upon the totality of the circumstances.
