I was hired as a manager 8 years ago, as the first year went by I was doing most of the sales, I soon found out a gentleman was to become a manager over me, but the company kept my title as manager on my business card, I did notice that I was listed as sales in the company tree. as time went by the other person that was assumed was above me retired and I gradually was given more management roles. It was assumed that I was both sales and manager so I was also called the agronomist at the business. I was asked by the CEO (new Ceo 2-3 years) why my business card said manager and i preceded to tell him I was hired as a manager and i produced the the acceptance letter to him. this happened after I was told by another superior that I was not going to be around much longer (62) and they need to think about replacing me, so they let out a job listing for an agronomist.
