More details to this question:
is it legal for a company to not pay me my hourly wage if the invoice to make commission is not met? I work for a gym where i work 80 hours and each paycheck seems to be wrong and they dont give me answers. I work 40 hours a week at minimum wage and if i dont make my invoice they dont pay me my hourly.

This is a complex question. The employer is taking the position that you are an employee who is exempt from the hour and wage regulations based upon the utilization of a commission structure. For example, car salesmen are exempt from our and wage requirements because they work on a commission. Are you paid a commission ? What is the breakdown of your compensation ?
