QUESTION

Hours Severly Cut...

Asked on Aug 19th, 2013 on Labor and Employment - Indiana
More details to this question:
I have been through 3 managers, my first got demoted and transferred, my second one.sexually harrassed me and I told, they talked to him. He started giving me a hard time about telling on him. I told again, nothing happened... he did this to another girl and she told. He got fired then! This new manager told me he was forced by the district manager that fired the old one he has to bring another assistant in and give her 35+ hours a week. This caused my assistant manger hour to 6 hours one day a week. I was hired as a full time employee... and told by my first manager not in writing my hours will never.fall under 35, I work hard and have 3 children and can't live off 6 hours a week. Live in indiana, is this a law suit? I also feel as if I'm being punished for the manager being fired. Got a txt today saying the district manager wants me at another store for the week but its just a week.

If your hours were reduced in retaliation for your complaints of sexual harassment then this would be a clear violation of the law.  You should consult with an attorney to further investigate the case and then file with the EEOC or your local state agency.
