QUESTION

How Do I Get Unemployment Insurance?

Asked on Nov 06th, 2014 on Wrongful Termination - North Carolina
More details to this question:
My employer let me go due to school schedule interfering with work schedule. I've been working with this company for three years and going to school to better myself was never an issue until they hired a guy this past April. If he does not like you, he will try his best to get rid of you. They have denied me unemployment insurance and I have appealed their decision. Their reason for denying me was misconduct which is false. First they said it was due my school schedule now they are saying it was due to misconduct. I was a PM lead on night shift. I was always on my best behavior, even went above and beyond to help others do their job. I need an attorney in the Greensboro NC area to represent my case. I believe they have defamed my character by providing false information and telling other employees I was let go because I did not want to be there which is false too.

Appeal the decision to deny you unemployment.  You can retain an attorney to help you with that appeal.
