How long is an accident case open?

More details to this question:
I have a pending work accident lawsuit. My lawyer is not helping me with the case. He's not helping with the important details about the case. He seems like he's ready to give up on the case at my expense.

There is no set period of time for an accident case to be open. If you are unhappy with your current counsel, you have a right to change. If you believe your current counsel is not doing what you want, perhaps you should have a frank conversation with him or her and find out what the problem is.

While there is a deadline to start a suit, there is no time limit on how long it may be pending. You should ask these questions of your own lawyer, and not rely on others that do not know the entire situation.
