More details to this question:
Working for cleaning company for over 20 months and could handle all that was required of me. Now, however, am being required to carry vacuum 3 times heavier and it doesn't roll on floor you have to carry it while using it. Have osteoporosis and back/shoulder/joint pain now and am in a worker's comp claim. Need accommodations which my employer can provide without cost-prohibitive measures, since they still possess older vacuums. How do I begin this process?

You should have your doctor provide a statement indicating that because of your medical condition, you are requesting an accommodation that will allow you to perform the essential duties of your job. Then specify the need to use the the other vacuum that is lighter.  If the employer refuses this, see an attorney right away
