From the beginning one of the assistant managers rolled his eyes behind my back to other employees, Wouldn't answer my questions ignored me. I went to the manager because it hindered me from doing my job. I couldn't ask a question. The manager had us talk in his office. The assistant denied it. But when I questioned him he admitted it in front of the boss. The assistant also insulted another employee pertaining to her personally and making remarks about her age. Since then every time I work nights I must clean the publics bathroom. I also asked for one of my days off to be a Saturday. I live alone and family is out of town. Others all get Saturdays off occasionally. I asked the boss if it were possible for me to swap my Tuesday day off for Saturday. He told me to ask the woman in my department. She was surprised, puzzled because he makes the schedule. He did give me the Saturday off. The next to weeks of my schedule my hours have been cut 10 hours less per week. There's more...
While it may be a poor business practice, there is nothing unlawful about treating you differently than other employees unless the reason you are being treated differently is your age, race, gender, disability, religion, or another protected basis. Employers cannot discriminate, but they don't have to legally treat everyone in the same manner.
