QUESTION
I took an approved week off from work, when i returned i was let go for misconduct. Everyone i talked to says thats wrong. IS IT?

More details to this question:
I was working overtime for a couple of months with the resources i was provided with to keep up with the schedule. I requsted time off near the end of the project as it was comming to close. I went over with the foreman that was watching the job while i was gone on what was left to complete in writing. I also took my company phone with me incase there were questions.When i returned my superintendent text me to meet him in the office on tuesday.thats when he shocked me with a termination sheet for misconduct. I worked there for 24 years.

As a general matter, employment in the United States is on an "at will" basis. That means an employee may be terminated at any time for any reason or no reason at all. As a general matter, our judicial system does not involve itself in second-guessing employers' termination decisions. Your posited facts do not suggest that your termination was occasioned by your membership in a protected group (race, religion, etc.).
