Is a two week notice required while in short term disability?

More details to this question:
I've used my 12 weeks of FMLA this year and recently went on STD due to medical issue from stress at my job. Since my job is no longer protected, If I decide not to return to my job, will I be required to give a two week notice or can I just give notice the day my doctor releases me that I won't be returning?

You don't ever have to give two weeks' notice to resign from an employer. It is customary to give at least two weeks' notice. Ohio employment attorney www.mcoffmanlegal.com
