My former employer from 2 'onths ago has sent me a letter stating I owe them money because they overpaid me. I was a salary worker and worked a 3 week notice. I left in the middle of a pay period so they finished paying me the pay period because I'm salary and then paid me my vacation that was owed to me. Now they said I should have gotten the extra vacation pay along with the extra week I didn't work. Is this legal and will I have to pay it back?
If they overpaid you according to company policy, then you will have to pay them back. However, don't do it voluntarily and wait to see how hard they are going to push.
