Asked on Feb 08th, 2021 on Labor and Employment - New Jersey
More details to this question:
i signed a Confidentially & Non-Compete agreement back in 2007 that did not contain an assignment clause. The company went into bankruptcy, they restructured the debt and the assets were purchased by an new financial company in 2011. Is the agreement still valid after the former company assets were purchased and a new company was formed.

NJ does not favor 'non-compete' agreements. You should hire an attorney who can negotiate on your behalf and have the 'non-compete' become null and void. Please call asap to discuss. Ed Dimon, Esq. 732-797-1600
