I worked for a major automotive vendor till the spring of 2001. I wrote a letter of resignation and turned it in to my supervisor. I have since worked for myself or friends. The times I have put in an application and resume, I never hear anything even when I am told I am qualified or over qualified for the position. A few weeks ago I was told by someone from my past that the company ignored my resignation and instead put in my file I was terminated for sexual harassment. As I understand it, this is still on my record and is the reason I can not find a new job. I would like to see my record and see if this is true. Is there a way to get a copy of my record without a subpoena and if it is true, what can I do about it? This company has a history of this kind of action and also terminating people my denying them unemployment by saying the person quit. I have seen this first hand.
