Good morning! I recently entered mental health therapy for a stress at work. I e-mailed my supervisor to let him know I wouldn't be in that day because of the appointment. I told him the reason for the appointment and asked, again, for help to decrease my workload. I was fired the next day. I am 58 years old, had been with the company for 6-months and did not have an employment contract. In advance, thank you for your time. I hope to hear from you soon.
You might have a claim under Title VII and the ADA. You should talk to an attorney to give more details about what happened and to determine whether you should file a charge of discrimination.
