QUESTION

signing separation agreement

Asked on Oct 06th, 2015 on Employment Contracts - Minnesota
More details to this question:
I received separation agreement from employer last week. I have never received any employment agreement before. I understand most of the agreement. I have question about paragraph that says I'm not to disclose terms of the agreement with anyone other than my attorney. Of course I have already discussed with my husband. Should I have an attorney review? I don't wish to make any claims, but want to make sure I'm protected too. Thank you

Generally speaking, non-disclosure clauses in separation agreements are lawful and enforceable. Odds are, the agreement probably also states that you are giving up any right you may have to make claims against the employer. Therefore, be sure to completely understand the restriction and the rest of the agreement before you sign it.
