QUESTION

Unpaid salary/reimbursements

Asked on Sep 07th, 2018 on Labor and Employment - New York
More details to this question:
I am having serious issues with my current/latest job. As of right now they havenโ€™t paid me for any work since July 13 and they havenโ€™t fired me. I have received pay stubs after this last pay date through the mail for salary that hasn't been paid. I have unpaid reimbursements totaling over $14,000 from May, June and July for company travel to which the boss and President both said they would pay within a week whenever I asked about the expenses or that they would take care of it right away and never did. Do I have a case here?

Absolutely.  You can also make a claim with the Department of Labor.  Your bosses could be in real trouble.

Contact the Department of Labor (state or federal) and complain. You probably have a claim but without knowing more about this employer the government agencies may be the best way to flush out whether you will ever see money from this employer. A paper judgment or court order does little good if the employer is uncollectable, files bankruptcy or moves to Florida.
