More details to this question:
I was terminated late last week for the reason of an unexcused absence earlier that week for an out of town doctor appointment with my epilepsy specialist. I put in a request off for that day, four days prior to my appointment. In that request, I specifically stated the reason being because of an out of town doctor appointment. My request off was ultimately denied by my manager due to having no more pto (even though I was willing to take a day without pay). The day of my appointment, I sent a text message to my immediate supervisor, explaining that I would not be in due to an important doctor appointment. I came in the following day just to be fired for this unexcused absence. Even though my employer does not know about my epilepsy, this appointment was for that and I have a note to back me up. What are my options?

It is very possible that your employer is not liable for wrongful termination sue to discrimination. This is because the employer did not know of your disability. Review the filing requirements for discrimination at work at EEOC.gov.
