What can I do if I get character attacks during mid-year performance review?

During mid-year review, I receive the following reviews about my character. I think it is character attacks. 1) Respect We respect and value those we work with, and the contribution that they make. Manager Assessment - rarely demonstrate 2) Integrity We act fairly, ethically and openly in all we do. Manager Assessment - Occasionally demonstrate 3) Service We put our clients and customers at the center of what we do Manager Assessment occasionally demonstrate 5) Stewardship We are passionate about leaving things better than we found them. Manager Assessment - rarely demonstrate.

I see nothing illegal here employer is entitled to their opinion you might want to consider finding another job.

You may not be able to do anything unless your "character attacks" are based on an illegal reason such as protected-class discrimination including but not limited to sex, age-40+, race/national origin and disability. You would need to provide an attorney with all your facts and documents to provide an specific response to your concern.

So, what is the problem. Your manager believes that you have these deficits. That is his or her opinion and you can't sue for that. You might better spend your time with your manager and asking why he or she has these opinions. You may have to work on some behavior modifications to achieve a better evaluation.
