Asked on Dec 14th, 2012 on Employment Contracts - South Carolina
More details to this question:
now i suspended from working for 2 weeks. I just got information from my friend at HR deprtment that i'm leading to terminate. They make 2 issues for me. First they claimed me conspired and abetted with my colleague to falsity the signature. My colleague already admitted and tell them is nothing about me. They just claimed I abetted because I sit next with him. The second one is they claimed I submitted false OT form but actually not. Before the OT form submit to HR the form must signed by Duty Executive. Now my DE signed already and I received all the claim. My DE is the person charged me submit the false OT form but he are the person signed and approve the form.Any idea what can I do to tell them I am not guilty and for the OT I have alot of witnesses.

In South Carolina, as in the rest of the United States, employment is on an "at will" basis. That means that your employer may terminate you at any time for any reason or no reason at all. Your employer need not have a good reason for your termination and you are not entitled to a "trial" or to disprove the charges against you. If you have exhausted opportunities to plead your case to top management, then you are likely done. You might want to discuss the matter with a local attorney.
