what if fired for retaliation

More details to this question:
the manager i worked for was using in appropriate language. I went to the human resources manager and informed her.about it. Then I was fired and came to find out that the manger and the hr manger were sleeoing and living together. I was told my reason for dismissal was failing to do my job. But I have never been verbally warned or received anf written warnings, i have copies of my review and it was excellent even comments from the hr about the excellent job I was doing

It is lawful in almost every case for an employer to fire you in retaliation for a complaint.  There are a few complaints that are defined as "protected activities" and any type of retaliation for that type of complaint is unlawful.  I do not see that in what you have posted, but you may want to discuss this with an employment attorney.
