Illegal stop in NJ?

I am a white 50+ year old female who was driving with a black male passenger. I had a $30 of drugs in the car. I got pulled over and was told it was because the owner's DL expired-not true but we discovered after the fact that a warrant for non pmt of child support had been issued against the owner but his DL had not been suspended...owner is my boyfriend who was not with us at the time. Our DLs came back clean. Then the officer asked if he could search the car. I said yes thinking i had no choice. He found the drugs and arrested me. When i asked what would happen to the car, he said if the owner could get here in 25 min he could take it. I called him, a friend drove him over & they arrested him on the spot for the warrant & car was impounded. I believe it was a set up. Do i/we have any recourse?
